Tuk Tuck manager Quan Chi said that the expansion is part of a business plan of opening a new restaurant every two years.

“It is now right to embrace this new challenge,” he told Bristol24/7.

The new Stokes Croft restaurant will have the same Asian fusion menu and similar aesthetics to the original, which has been in the Old City since 2016, with many employees also moving across.

Quan cited the restaurant’s priorities as providing healthy but tasty food, friendly service and good value for money.

“Customer loyalty is very important to us. I am pleased to say that we have lots of the same customers visiting for lunch each day, and this is something we hope to continue with in our new restaurant.”

Quan added: “Bristol is a great place to have a small, independent business and I hope we can continue to thrive.”
