Two Bristol restaurants shortlisted in Good Food Guide Awards 2025

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Jan 8, 2025

Two restaurants on the same road are Bristol’s representatives in the shortlist for the prestigious Good Food Guide Awards 2025.

Wilsons and Dongnae are both located on Chandos Road in Redland, which for many years has been a food and drink hotspot.

Wilsons now have their original restaurant as well as the Bread Shop; while Dongnae, which opened in the former Otira and Chandos Social, was named by Bristol24/7 as our best new restaurant of 2024.

Dongnae co-owners Kyu Jeong Jeon and Duncan Robertson are nominated in the chef to watch category, and Wilsons – owned by Jan Ostle and Mary Wilson – is shortlisted for the best value set menu.

Jeon and Robertson also own Bokman on Nine Tree Hill off Stokes Croft, while Wilsons holds the distinction of being the only Bristol restaurant to have a Michelin green star.
