Two new food stalls to open in St Nick’s
Two familiar names will both be opening stalls in St Nick’s Market. For one, it will be their first venture away from street food. For another, it will complement their three restaurants already across Bristol.
Having built up a reputation on Bristol’s street food scene, Low & Slow founders Jack Geach and Lyndsey Murdoch are excited to create a permanent home in the historic market.
“This stall is going to be the flagship of our business,” Lyndsey told Bristol24/7. “We’d be mad to turn down a St Nick’s spot.”
is needed now More than ever

Jack and Lyndsey have already built up a following on the street food scene
Using a blend of different woods such as oak, apple and cherry, Low & Slow smoke their meat for anything up to 15 hours which makes it “fall-apart tender”, according to Jack.
The duo makes their own unique sauces and have a range of spice rubs which they use on the meat. “Everything is done from scratch and using all our own recipes,” Jack notes.
Despite being in a city famous for its meat-free eateries, Jack and Lyndsey aren’t worried about placing a focus on meat when they open later this month.
“We do have vegan options,” Jack said. “We do jackfruit quite regularly and lots of our sauces are vegan. The pulled jackfruit was in fact one of the most popular specials we’ve ever done.”

Low & Slow have already made a name for themselves as a street food business

Just a few hundred yards away from Low & Slow, which is going into premises most recently occupied by Brozen, a new street food stall from Woky Ko is moving into the former Grillstock stall.
Staffed by former Grillstock manager Dan Vaux-Nobes, Bristol’s fourth Woky Ko will be cooking miso-glazed aubergine and chicken yakitori negima over a robata grill.
All dishes will cost £6, with an extra skewer for £2, paired with a choice of either red curry sauce and rice, Singapore vermicelli or rice noodle salad.
Woky Ko owner Larkin Cen said: “What a privilege to be opening up in St Nick’s. It’s an iconic hub in Bristol for exciting street food and I can’t wait for us to be part of this vibrant and delicious community in the city.”
