Cargo to officially open in festive style

By Aphra Evans  Tuesday Nov 29, 2016

Traders within Cargo at Wapping Wharf are celebrating the start of the Christmas season in style on Saturday, December 3.

In addition to the obligatory giant ribbon cutting in a belated celebration of Cargo officially opening, attractions will include a Christmas tree forest constructed by Mighty Quinns Flower Emporium, mulled cider from Bristol Cider Shop and port from Corks to warm the cockles.

A range of food will be available from resident restaurants Chicken Shed, Lovett Pies, Woky Ko, Pigsty and Box-E while those who turn up to the party looking less than fresh can benefit from a quick trim at Shambarber.

The event runs from midday to 6pm, with music and more stalls in neighbouring Goal Ferry Steps. There are also whispers of an award for the person wearing the best Christmas jumper or outfit.
