Wilks wins local restaurant of the year
There’s another new trophy in the Wilks cabinet as the Good Food Guide announced the Chandos Road restaurant as its local restaurant of the year, South West.
The guide received 30,000 nominations from the public, asking for restaurant gems nationwide that “fly under the critics’ radar, the unsung heroes of the restaurant world that make you proud of your local area”.
To be eligible for nomination, restaurants had to be independently run, community-focused and committed to local, seasonal produce.

It follows a series of accolades for the husband and wife team who won a Michellin star in 2013 and have been named one of the UK’s top 100 restaurants in the National Restaurant Awards..
