Pop-up cafe and wine bar opens in north Bristol
With bakeries in Bedminster, Redfield and inside Bristol Beacon, Bristol Loaf now has a north Bristol (temporary) home.
The expanding business’s organic breads, savouries, pastries, cakes, specialty coffee and more will now be available to purchase on Gloucester Road.
Transforming into an informal wine bar during the weekend evenings, the daytime pop-up cafe has opened in what used to be Bakers & Co and, before that, Jaffra.
is needed now More than ever
“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be making Gloucester Road our new temporary home.” Gary Derham, founder, owner and director of Bristol Loaf said.

Derham added: “Loaf will be bringing Schiacciata, our take on the Tuscan flatbread – somewhere between a ciabatta and a focaccia – filled to the brim with mozzarella, homemade cheese curds, sliced charcuterie, and, other seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
“Our simple, Italian inspired menu will include daily specials, landing this Saturday with slow-cooked ox cheek with pesto and pecorino.
“And of course vegetarian and vegan offerings are always part of what we do.
“Native Vine will provide natural wines for retail and also transform our daytime bakery into a cosy evening spot at the weekend.”

The bakery will become a wine bar during the evenings
Bristol Loaf is now open on 193 Gloucester Road from Monday to Saturday 8.30am untill 4pm and Native Vine Friday and Saturday 5.30 until 10.30pm.
