Pubs and Bars / Draper's Arms
The Drapers Arms is one of the top eco-friendly pubs in the country
A Bishopton pub has been featured in Campaign for Real Ale‘s (CAMRA) Summer of Pub campaign, which recommends the most eco-friendly and sustainable pubs across the country.
The pubs listed demonstrate a wide range of initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, including cutting down on ‘beer miles’, plastic use and locally sourcing or growing their food.
Amongst those recognised is Bristol micropub The Drapers Arms. The pub is highly regarded and has previously was recognised as CAMRA Bristol and District Branch’s runner up ‘Pub of the Year’ in 2017.

The Drapers Arms regularly announces its average beer miles and tries to keep it under 30 miles. To achieve their low beer miles, 90 per cent of their cask beer is sourced locally.
“Reducing the environmental impact of beer is an issue that matters to many CAMRA members, so it’s only right to highlight pubs that have taken the initiative to become more sustainable,” said CAMRA’s national director Ben Wilkinson. “They are shining examples of an industry that listens to consumers’ concerns.”
The Summer of Pub campaign has seen hundreds of pubs organise events to showcase what they have to offer, ranging from special screenings of the Women’s World Cup to quiz nights and theatre events.
