Huge new Turkish restaurant opening in Bristol city centre

By Mia Vines Booth  Tuesday Mar 19, 2024

A popular Turkish restaurant in Bath is set to open its second site in Bristol across two storeys.

Cappadocia will serve “authentic Turkish cuisine, cooked by Turkish chefs” across lunch and dinner.

The restaurant’s signature charcoal grill will allow diners to get “the real taste of Turkey in those Shish kebabs and sensational steaks”.

Despite describing itself as the only Turkish restaurant in Bristol, Cappadocia will join a number of Turkish restaurants and takeaways in the city.

Cappadocia’s Bath site has nearly 2,000 reviews on Tripadvisor, with a five star average from customers whose most popular praise includes the restaurant’s hummus, mezze, lamb dishes and atmosphere.

The new site will open on Baldwin Street in mid-April in a large space previously home to West African-inspired restaurant Afrikana.

The huge eatery opened in November 2022, but closed in January this year after just over a year in the premises.
