New shop and bar opening soon specialising in whisky and rum
A shop and bar specialising in rum and whisky is coming soon to one of Bristol’s most colourful rows of shops.
Spirited will feature spirits and wines from well-known distilleries and wineries, as well as craft spirits from small independent producers in the UK and abroad.
Small drinks producers, distilleries and craft breweries from the South West will also be a feature on its shelves.
is needed now More than ever
The new business is being opened by Katy Kennedy who says her focus is “giving both a relaxed environment to enjoy food and drink with friends, and the ideal place to buy the perfect dram”.
Katy has previously worked for companies including Avery’s and Oddbins.
She will be opening her first shop and bar at 196 North Street in Bedminster on September 18. The shop forms part of a parade also including Oowee and Zara’s Chocolate, all of which have murals on them painted by female artists.

“Bristol is a vibrant and exciting city and Bedminster is a great district of independent businesses,” said Katy.
“Spirited is all about conviviality and sharing – sharing spirits, imparting knowledge, exchanging stories, revealing experiences.
“I am looking forward to building relationships with my regular customers and giving a warm welcome to all newcomers. The spirit of a good club but without the membership!
“I want to share the fun I’ve always experienced in the industry with others and advise those looking for just the right bottle for themselves, for a present for friends and family or corporate gifts.
“Sharing drinking is such an integral part of life in many cultures and this is the spirit behind this special one-off new Bristol business.
“Part bar and part shop, personal attention helps ensure customers find what is right for them.
“The relaxed approach offers the opportunity to spend some time in the shop, browsing the shelves, having a chat about whisky, spirits and wines and sampling some of the wares.”
