What?
Our final gift to you lovely people comes from our latest little gem, Caffe Vero. Grab a coffee plus two delicious Italian pastries to takeaway, for just £1. Now, that’s a fine start to Monday morning and a great alternative to the traditional mince pie!

Where?
Ahh the sweet simplicity of Sicilian cafe culture. The rich espressos flow feely, and the smell of marzipan wafts out onto the street. Caffe Vero brings a slice of tradition and excellence to Bristol, all tucked neatly into a corner of Small Street. The cafe is a hub of Italian tradition, filled with mesmerising traditional tiles and quality deli goods. Revive the ritual of your morning cappuccino or mid-afternoon espresso and pick up one of the must-try, bite-sized desserts. Every delicious morsel is made by Nunzia herself – the sugared cannoli are filled with sweet creamy ricotta, and a guilt-free accompaniment to your cuppa. Lunchtime specialities include puffy cheese-and-ham-filled croissants, or hot gooey lasagne. The Italian clientele that fill this place say a lot for this great addition to Bristol’s melting pot food and drink scene.

What?
Choose between a Beef, Chicken, Pulled-Pork or Vegan Muiño Burger. Each is served in a Brioche Bun with House Slaw & Fries – and add any one of their saucy extras including Guacamole, Braised Ox Cheek, Pulled Pork, Rarebit  or Pulled Jackfruit. If you want to add any more, just pay Muiño the extra (£1 a pop). Enjoy!

Where?
Muiño is the latest addition to the buzzing foodie hotspot that is Cotham Hill. A cosy wine-bar vibe, created by husband and wife duo Alex and Emily, it fuses Small Plates (including Seared Cornish Scallops and Salt & Pepper Squid) and Burgers (Beef, Chicken, Pulled-Pork and a special-recipe Vegan burger) with an array of uncommon extras such as Braised Ox-Cheek and Pulled Jackfruit.  With a selection of quality beers (bottles of Wiper & True make an appearance) and a strong wine and cocktail menu (look out for their early-evening cocktail happy-hours), they’ve created an atmosphere which is perfect for a cheeky after-work drink with some bar snacks, or casual dining later in the evening.

The Boathouse Bar & Pantry-4 Pints Of Beer

Usually: £16
On Wriggle: £9.95

What?
Head to the Boathouse Bar & Pantry this evening for a perfect post work pint-down, with a choice of great beers such as Blue Moon, Kozel, Chieftain IPA. It’d be rude not to.

Where?
The Boathouse (you might have guessed it from the name) sits on the Harbourside, in an area that has rapidly grown into a destination with a hive of exciting new establishments. With serenely pastoral views of passing boats and rowers through their sun-trap windows, the Boathouse is decked with an eclectic range of nautical themed furniture, and provides a supremely relaxed atmosphere. With a host of Cocktails on tap (the only on-tap cocktails in Bristol?) – Mojitos, Espresso Martinis which they use Liquid Nitrogen to create, or a large selection of wines and beers – and an excellent selection of craft beers and premium lagers, there’s plenty of ways for you to wind down after a hard day’s work. There’s also an array of light bar snacks and cheese and meat boards for you hungry drinkers to graze upon.

Mr Wolfs – A Bowl of Legendary Noodles & A Pint of Korev/Thatchers Haze

Usually: £10.10
On Wriggle: £5.95

What?
Mr Wolfs noodles are back! Come and visit one of Bristol’s most iconic venues for some early-evening sustenance. Choose between Sesame Lemon Chicken, Sticky Hoi-Sin Pork Belly, Szechuan Prawn (vegan), Toasted Cashew Nut or Heavenly Veggie. The noodles are served with stir-fried vegetables and a vegan-friendly base sauce (black bean, soy, vegan oyster, chilli or garlic) – and are enjoyed with a pint of Korev or Thatchers Haze cider.

Where?
What’s the time, Mr Wolf? We’re happy to say, dinner-time! The late-night venue, which has long been at the vanguard of Bristol’s music scene (serving up locally-sourced live music, DJs and artists) now is back and serving their famous Noodles throughout the early evening. Historically enjoyed by artists, roadies and gig-goers alike to kick their evening off in style (before a few-year hiatus in which Mr Wolfs moved location to St Nicks Street) – these noodles are thicker and saucier than the more soup’y / brothy versions found in nearby establishments in recent years. They come in a variety of flavours and are served with Chicken, Pork or a very special Vegan-version of Szechuan Prawn (discovered by the eponymous Mr Wolf himself – on his quest to build the perfect noodles). Best served with a cold-beer, and followed by some live-music.

Pair with a Cheese ‘n Pickle or Meat Feast platter and you’re onto a winner.

Where?
An independent vintage inspired tea room with boutique, both full to the brim with vintage gems and treasures; from dresses to re-worked furniture, home wear, crockery and chalk paint. Famous for both their Cream Tea Towers and Afternoon Teas, served daily alongside other traditional lunch dishes and fresh home made cakes. Relax, sit down in a comfy armchair with your favourite pot of tea and soak up the atmosphere.

It’s a dreamy rooftop bar and restaurant that overlooks the heart of Bristol – think fresh and healthy food (their dips and flatbreads are unreal), quality local beers and a range of soothing drinks and cocktails by the jug.
