Coffee and burgers served from former horsebox
Coffee and burgers are now being served from a converted horsebox that will be parked during the summer in the area near the cenotaph that used to be known as Magpie Park.
Tables and chairs for Artemis Wild have been placed around the infamous ‘stoppers’ installed by the city council in a futile attempt to stop skaters.
The street food business used to sell nachos from their converted Peugeot J7 van before pivoting to coffee and burgers after the pandemic, including being based outside the Wiper & True barrel store in St Werburgh’s.
is needed now More than ever
Coffee is from Oxford-based Routes, with a flat white costing £3.10 and a cup of tea £1.70.
Burgers start from £9.50, and include meaty options with venison or beef, and a vegan variety made with wild rocket and wild garlic aioli.
The Artemis Wild team say that they “truly hope” that Artemis Wild “is the answer to wasteful street food and a pioneer in a wild food revolution”.
