17 things to do in Bristol this weekend – March 23-25 2018

As we gear up for a long weekend of eating Easter eggs, there’s plenty for foodies to get their teeth into. The British Dal Festival winds up this weekend after taking over venues across the city, culminating in a grand finale at the Paintworks on Sunday with street food, market stalls, children’s activities, a demonstration kitchen and music.

For those who prefer their calories in liquid form, there are not one but two chances to sample some of Bristol’s best beers and ales this weekend, starting with Gloucester Road craft beer and real ale pub tour on Friday, and finishing with CAMRA’s annual Bristol Beer Festival that spills over to Saturday.

Elsewhere, there’s good stuff happening for music lovers, as psychedelic folk-pop stars Django Django visit SWX, home-grown talent Natalie Holmes and Katie Sky play the first ever gig to be hosted at Portland Square’s Milk Teeth cafe, and folk legends Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman wow audiences at The Station.
