June 5: Cannibal Ox: The Cold Vein European Tour, Bristol Beacon
Cannibal Ox, renowned for their original music, is celebrating over 20 years in the industry. To mark this milestone, they will be performing a blend of classic material from their iconic album “The Cold Vein” alongside new singles from their upcoming full-length LP, “Aireplane.” Fans can look forward to this exciting release, which is set to drop on New Year’s Day 2025.
June 6 – 12: UWE Bristol Showcase, UWE Bristol
UWE Bristol are thrilled to share this year’s work from their graduating students across the College of Arts, Technology and Environment. An annual highlight for the University and city of Bristol, they invite you to discover a new generation of talent. The UWE Bristol degree show combines exhibitions at Bower Ashton, Arnolfini, Spike Island and Frenchay Campus, accompanied by an extensive digital Showcase. Celebrate the exceptional work of more than 1,200 graduates from more than 40 courses.
June 7: The People’s Comedy, PRSC
The People’s Comedy is UK’s only regular sociopolitical comedy night, where Bristol’s satirists deconstruct the power paradigm to comedic effect. Putting our money where their mouths are, it’s also the only regular night where ALL the acts get paid. A fantastic night of political, social and cultural comedy featuring some of the most exciting grassroots comedians of Bristol and beyond.
June 8: 80th Anniversary of D-Day – 1940s Concert, Trinity Academy
Filton Concert Brass is Bristol’s Championship Section brass band, and can be heard regularly performing in competitions and concerts across the country. On the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, join the Filton Concert Brass, South Gloucestshire Good Afternoon Choir and The Filtones Community Choir. Featuring 1940’s swing jazz set, string quartet and plenty of refreshments.

June 9: Iglooghost, Bristol Beacon
Iglooghost presents ‘ᕮⵋම’ – a new live audio/visual show. The show expands on the Tidal Memory Exo album world – including mysterious eggs, ancient pets, and toxic instruments. Following recent collaborations with the likes of FKA Twigs and Björk, as well as Iglooghost’s recent ‘Lei Museum’ installation at the Southbank Centre, ‘ᕮⵋම’ marks another step into storytelling with physical stage-building & immersive set-building. As well as sound-reactive visuals by Iglooghost, the show features set design by artist and designer Yaz XL. Support comes from Misogi.

June 9: Charity Colour Run, The Brightwell
The Brightwell is a local charity supporting those living with neurological conditions. What better way to raise awareness and vital funds for The Brightwell than a bright, colourful fun run, walk or wheel that the whole family can enjoy? Under 3K family-friendly route with a variety of food and beverage vendors on the day.
June 10: Unplugged (Acoustic open mic/jam), Old Market Assembly
This stripped back monthly Monday evening open mic night invites musicians of all abilities to celebrate live music together, whether by way of flexing your instrumental skills, showcasing new material, freeform improv or playing a beloved old standard/cover. With an emphasis on acoustic/stripped back performances (i.e. acoustic guitar, singers, spoken word, small percussive instruments), this is an opportunity to share your talent with fellow musicians, music lovers and everyday customers at the beautiful Old Market Assembly venue!
June 11: Sunbrella, The Louisiana
Sunnbrella is the project of London-based musician and producer David Zbirka. The project began as a lo-fi bedroom pop affair, initially garnering attention after releasing the single ‘Feelin’ Invisible’ – produced together with Eyedress. However David soon steered his artistic vision in a more sonically ambitious direction, effortlessly intertwining his love of ethereal shoegaze and dream pop with rhythmic, vintage-but-modern dance-music-inspired sounds, all underlined by a strong pop sensibility and now Bristol has tey chance to witness their incredible act.
June 12: Lip Filler, The Louisiana
The London based indie punk band is heading to BS1 headlining a show at The Louisiana. Through the groups MO of being the sonic unpredictability, there are songs that are personal to the super heavy, providing a chaotic and enjoyable live set. With George Tucker and Verity Hughes on dual vocals, bassist Theodore Pasmore and Drummer Nate Wicks. Completed by Declan Gaffney (St Francis Hotel) as their producer, who has worked with the likes of Little Simz and Michael Kiwanuka.
June 13: Latino Fest Summer Day Party, Dare to club
Latino Fest is bringing its vibrant Latin celebration back to Bristol with three very special day parties at Dare To Club. This lively event promises a day filled with reggaeton, salsa, bachata, Latin pop, and more, all spread across two rooms. Attendees can indulge in incredible Latin food that will perfectly complement the festive atmosphere. June 14: Bristol Comedy Garden, Queen square

Regarded as “The Prophet Of The Piano”, Lubomyr Melnyk is one of the most exciting pianists on stage today – enthralling audiences with atmospheric soundscapes and his inimitable piano virtuosity. A pioneer of Continuous Piano Music, Melnyk utilises extraordinary speed and an intuitive approach to composition to create seemingly electronic sounds from the piano, pulling listeners deep into another world. June 22-30: Bristol Sounds
Since 2014, Bristol Sounds has rapidly become one of the city’s most beloved annual music events. The festival has featured a wide array of iconic artists over the years, including Paolo Nutini, The War on Drugs, Manic Street Preachers, and Noel Gallagher. The 2024 edition is shaping up to be the biggest yet. Alongside the previously announced headliners – The Breeders, Skindred, Gentleman’s Dub Club, and The Skints – the lineup now also includes the major acts Placebo and James Arthur.
June 23: Kings of Leon, Ashton Gate
The US rock legends are set to perform a one-off concert in Bristol as a highlight of their Can We Please Have Fun World Tour. This event marks a significant return for Kings of Leon, who last graced the Bristol stage 21 years ago, in 2003. Fans can expect an unforgettable night as the band revisits the city after more than two decades.

June 25: Bristol Street music, The Canteen bar
Bristol Street Music is a jazz collective formed on the post-covid streets of Bristol, when the streets and parks were the only spaces for musicians to perform and play together. Their sound has an intensity amongst the soulful and laid-back neo jazz feels, with a potential to dive down into breakbeat and avant garde funk. Along with a couple of guests the band will be lead by Alex Veitch on keys, Chris Langton on drums and bass.
June 26: Bristol24/7 EatDrink24 celebration, Left Handed Giant Taproom

June 26: Red by John Logan, Alma Tavern and Theatre

A compelling account of a great artist, whose struggle to accept his own success became his ultimate undoing. Nominated for seven Olivier Awards (2009) and winner of six Tony Awards (2010), John Logan’s “RED” premiered at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre, London (3 December 2009).

June 28: Gia Fu, Jam Jar
Gia Fu, a DJ/selector and music producer from Hong Kong, specializes in Afro-Latin music, particularly Salsa and associated rhythms. Beyond extensive touring as an international DJ and music producer, her research work explores how cultures – including her own Chinese heritage and Latin American influences – enrich one another. Having grown up in a culturally vibrant environment, her upbringing fuels her passion for challenging stereotypes and promoting inclusion within the music industry.

June 30: Break the CYCLE, Avon
Bristol Bears Community Foundation in collaboration with Bristol Sport Foundation and Bristol City Robins Foundation, are excited to bring you ‘Break The Cycle 2024’ on Sunday 30th June 2024. With a choice of three routes through the Mendips designed by Olympian Oli Beckingsale, 34, 66 or 100 miles, there is a ride for everyone. All routes start and finish at Ashton Gate Stadium. This year’s event gives cyclists the chance to raise money through entry fees and sponsorship for the rider’s chosen Bristol Sport related charity.
