Bristol24/7 Queer Catch-Up’s second episode released

By Bristol24/7  Friday Feb 26, 2021

The second episode of Bristol24/7’s fortnightly LGBTQ+ podcast will look at queer history in Bristol and beyond, discuss the impact of education, family and religion on identity and talk with musician Jamie Jamal.

Hosted by Kit and Lowie, episode two of the Queer Catch-Up will take a look at Bristol24/7’s latest LGBTQ+ articles and chat more in depth about the topics they discuss.

As well as looking at being a queer person in their 20s, Kit and Lowie will also look at the impact of laws that have been enacted, the importance of having a diverse media landscape and their teenage crushes.

The pair also talk with Jamie Jamal, a Bristol-based singer-songwriter creating electronic music.

Jamie will delve into his favourite venues and his love of Bristol. Kit and Lowie will also speak to him about his songs based on LGBTQ+ history, something rarely explored outside of literature, film and TV.

Discussion on topics raised in the Queer Catch-Up is encouraged. Comment, email lowie@bristol247.com or kit@bristol247.com and tweet @lowietrevena, @kitmillion and @bristol247.
