Trans Pride celebrates gender diversity
Trans voices were heard loud and proud as the Trans Pride march made its way through Bristol.
Trans Pride South West 2023 started with speeches on College Green before the march to Castle Park, which was followed by workshops, meet-ups and an after-party at Strange Brew.
The day was a celebration of “the diversity of transgender, non-binary, intersex and gender non-confirming individuals, and actively encouraging awareness, openness and interaction”.
is needed now More than ever
One of the day’s organisers, Sabrina, said fae are “always heartened that in the heart of the South West, we are surrounded by community”.
Sabrina added: “No matter what, there is always an effort and a tenacity. The thing that keeps me going whenever I feel sad about trans rights in this country is that we are guided by love and that is unstoppable…
“Let us remember that we are stronger than any opponents who will ever stand in front of us. That is the message I want to give you today.”
