FACTORY NO.1 PROVIDES PERFECT FAMILY HOME, SECOND TIME ROUND

By Advertising Feature  Monday Sep 2, 2024

It’s easy to fall in love with a good thing twice – just ask Factory No. 1 resident Dan Cramphorn. Father and Cyber Security Consultant Dan was living in a two-bedroom apartment in one half of the converted buildings, Consort House, before upsizing to a larger two-bedroom apartment with more living area square footage, across the courtyard to Regent House.

Situated in the former factory buildings of the tobacco factory of W.D and H.O Wills, Regent House and Consort House offer a slice of history with a high-end specification, in one of Bristol’s most bustling neighbourhoods.

Speaking about the move, Dan said: “Following a change in my family circumstances, I was keen to move into central Bristol, to experience city life to its fullest. Having spent a long time looking around the city, everywhere from the Harbourside to Clifton, I was struggling to find a property that I liked and that would cater for my family’s needs. I am blessed with two sons, Luke (10) and Ryan (13), one of which has a disability, so ease of accessibility was paramount by way of lift access and nearby outside spaces, which is a surprisingly tall order in an historical town like Bristol.”

“Our new home in Regent’s House is a great step up from our first apartment. Not only do we have more useable space, but we have one of Factory No.1’s most iconic rooms. Our living room is perfectly circular and sits under the iconic copper dome roof, which can be seen for miles around. It is a conversation piece when friends come to stay!”

Community is paramount to Dan, and following his relocation to Factory No.1, he has forged new friendships with other residents through their love of football.

“I have made some great friendships with other residents, and there is nothing we like more than heading to a Bristol City game at the stadium, then coming back to socialise in the courtyard. Factory No.1 feels like a real community, which was a great benefit for me when I first moved to the city and continues to play a significant part in my and my children’s lives.”

Regent House has several one- and two-bedroom apartments available to purchase, with prices starting at £275,000. The development has also just unveiled a collection of newly built apartments at Wills House, with a one-bedroom home starting at £275,000.
