Yuup and Bristol 24/7’s 12 Days of Christmas competition comes to an end
Over the course of the last 12 days of Christmas, new online marketplace Yuup and Bristol24/7 have been sharing the gift of experience with lucky winners each day. Yuup is a new Bristol startup looking to inspire communities to discover local experiences on their doorstep.
Over the course of the competition period, we’ve given you the opportunity to nominate someone special each day by telling us on Facebook or Instagram why they deserve to be given the gift of experience.
From nurses putting in long hours over the course of the pandemic to charity volunteers working tirelessly to ensure that food reaches those who need it most this winter, our 12 days of Christmas competition has had plenty of worthy nominees to choose from.
Our competition has only been made possible by the work of the incredible individuals and small businesses that make up Yuup’s community of hosts, who have been more than willing to get involved.

Here’s a taster of just some of the experiences we’ve given away:
Ren Hannah was nominated on Day 1 of the competition for delivering free school meals to children during lockdown. As our winner, Ren and a friend will get to attend a private pottery wheel workshop for two at the lovely Trylla on North Street.
We brought a smile to the face of true Bake Off fan Jenni Stuart, by gifting her the experience of baking a celebration cake with former GBBO semi-finalist, Briony May Williams. Hosted at The Square Food Foundation kitchen in Knowle West, Jenni and a mate will get their very own bake off style experience, mastering the perfect celebration drip cake with Bristol’s own Great British Bake Off star.
Duncan Doyle scooped the prize of Cibomatto’s Make a Northern Italian pasta dish experience. Duncan and a friend will soon be discovering how to prepare perfect tortelli at this experience hosted in Cibomatto’s authentic Italian kitchen in Greenbank.
Hives and Herbals is giving much deserved winner Charlotte Hillcoat the opportunity to be Queen Bee for the day. In this two hour experience, Charlotte will get up close and personal with bees in a safe environment as she looks inside the hive and discovers more about the lives of bees.
And Jennifer Merrikin was nominated and picked to win a spot at a creative scrap metal workshop experience, courtesy of amazing Yuup hosts WTF. With everything from lamps, fire pits, garden sculptures and wine racks created during this experience to date, Jennifer will have total freedom to make her very own piece of hand-made metal craft recycled from scrap metal.
