Luxury lingerie brand Mina launch their debut collection
A Bristol minimal lingerie brand is merging the boundaries between underwear and outerwear.
“The concept of owning beautifully designed lingerie that can be worn and styled as outerwear is very exciting for me and is reflected in the final product,” says Sarah-Louise Henry, founder of Mina.
Mina use the finest, hand-picked materials to create beautifully designed, easy-to-wear pieces, all ethically manufactured here in the UK.

The stunning Alexis set is crafted from the finest French lace
“Mina has been in my mind, as a goal, since graduating in 2012,” explains Sarah-Louise. “I have been developing ideas, designs and hand selecting fabrics and have just launched my first debut luxury lingerie collection in March this year.”
While studying at London College of Fashion, Sarah-Louise earned herself a degree in Fashion Contour design, as the first wave of LCF designers to emerge on the globally recognised Contour course that originates from De Montfort University in Leicester.

Sarah-Louise grew up in Oxfordshire and has been living in Bristol since 2011, where she runs Mina from her home in Old Market alongside working a day job.
She designs and toiles all of the pieces and works with UK manufacturers with sampling and development.
All materials are hand-selected by Sarah-Louise while being tried and tested, for shape and colour. The silks are sourced from Italy and the laces are from a luxury French lace mill.

The delicate Yasmin Cami by Mina £128 can be worn as underwear or as a top with jeans
“My aim is to find studio space with a great, creative community,” says Sarah-Louise. “Bristol is so varied, diverse and experimental, I love it. Eventually I would like to have my very own Mina headquarters!”
Things have moved on a bit from the days of Madonna shocking the world by wearing one of Jean Paul Gaultier’s conical bras as an outerwear garment. Lingerie is no longer an item of clothing to be hidden away.

The sumptuos Ada set features a soft cup bra £108 and high waisted briefs £115 in black French lace.
“The debut collection consists of three key pieces, all with a view of being versatile enough to wear as outerwear too, subtle, minimal and glamorous at the same time,” explains Sarah-Louise.
Mina’s micro collection features a delicate black lace bralette, sensuous red lace crop top and an off-white silk chiffon cami, that could easily be worn with your favourite pair of jeans, this luxury lingerie brand is just perfect as both underwear and outerwear.
For those of us that would prefer to keep these beautiful pieces under wraps, each piece comes as part of a matching set with sumptuous high waisted or Brazilian briefs.

The Mina micro collections are all designed to be minimal and glamourous with a view to be worn as outerwear too.

Mina create luxurious and classic lingerie pieces made to be timeless
Due to careful design and development processes Sarah-Louise sets the brand in the high-end fashion market with an aim to get Mina stocked in luxury department stores and independent boutiques globally, with prices ranging from £68 for the Brazilian briefs to £128 for the silk chiffon cami.
“Mina’s pieces are designed to be timeless and worn for a long time, all the sourcing, production and sampling is ethically made here in the UK,” adds Sarah-Louise.
“Our aim is to grow Mina, expanding the ranges and take with us loyal customers, who not only follow our story, but help make it too.”
