What are you wearing? “I think this is a French jacket, vintage-type. I have to say, jeans for the first time in 20 years! I don’t normally wear jeans. I wear wide-leg trousers. [My broach] is from Pompeii, made by an artist at the time. He signed it on the back about 20 years ago.”
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “Clifton. And the nice [train] station – very well designed.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “Everyone dresses the same. I have to say, we sat outside the station, and I said, ‘Everyone has tight jeans.’ Later on in summer, I see some nice flowy dresses, short dresses. It’s either that or leggings, isn’t it?”

What are you wearing? “My trousers are from a vintage shop in Portobello Road. It’s an old pair of old motorbike joggers, so they’re from 1940. The jacket’s from Spencer Hart, a bespoke suit company. Same as the shoes, or the trainers. The hat’s from Camden, a vintage store.”
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “My first time, I had a lovely pie just down the road from here. That was a good opener. And then the show here – it’s great.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “Nothing yet.”

What are you wearing? “I actually got this from TopShop, but it was in LA when I was visiting. I just picked it up – it was on sale for, like, ten quid. It has a really pretty back as well. My sweater, I think it’s very very old. I think it could have been passed down from my Mum. I can see it’s falling apart a little bit. And the shoes – I got them from Zimbabwe. So I took my converse shoes to Zimbabwe while I was volunteering for three months, and one of the boys that I was teaching really liked them, and he was always like, ‘Oh please, can I have them? Please can I swap them for my shoes?’ And I said, ‘Ok, fine.’ So the next thing, he came over – I wasn’t expecting anything, but he said, ‘Here, these are my shoes.’ And I said, ‘Oh, I love them! They’re so cute!’ I’ve been wearing them for two years straight with exactly the same shoe laces, and they look so mouldy.”
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “It has really, really friendly people. When I go to a different city, I can feel the difference immediately.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “I think there’s less diversity in comparison to London.”
