Street Style: Castle Park
Bristol is one of the most independently-minded cities in the UK and its fashion taste is no exception. In Castle Park, uber-cool fashionistas are found lying on the grass with a book or strolling across the bridge.
We took out our cameras on a sunny afternoon and decided to treat ourselves to a slice of street style.
WHO: Foday Kabie & Megan Price
is needed now More than ever

Foday & Megan personified street style as they walked hand in hand across Castle Park
ON FODAY: Red and blue patterned Ralph Lauren shirt, with navy blue trousers are paired with a classic Nike flip flop and a black hat.
He said: “I like dressing like this because it’s peak summer. I’m a gentleman and I like the way I look as well.”
ON MEGAN: A white strapped blouse with a tie-dye maxi skirt, combined with a classic white sandal and a statement pendant.
She said: “My mum works in fashion and my skirt is actually from her. It’s a sample. My top is from a charity shop. It’s a summery day, so I thought I’d dress summery!”
WHO: Kanako Jones

Kanako stole the show with her display of mix-n-match at its best
ON KANAKO: A graphic print t-shirt with chinos and a statement belt. The look is completed with an oversized denim shirt and tiny hoop earrings.
She said: “I’m from Japan, so I really like street fashion. I’m really inspired by Bristolians and I like wearing male clothes – like baggy style clothes. But I always want to mix something with a female taste. So, I’m wearing what’s called an uncle fashion in Japan but I put this jacket on so I can have something of a woman’s taste.”
WHO: Leah Mcintosh

Leah’s joy and ecstatic personality easily makes its way to her fashion
ON LEAH: A red chequered bralette top, with denim jorts and a black patterned belt. The look is tied together with white socks and black sneakers.
She said: “I’m wearing a 2000’s jorts I got from Vinted for £10 and I got this top in Urban Outfitters the other day. My hair clips (for the braids) are from Vinted for 50p, pretty fun and cool. Everything and everyone inspires my fashion. I just like to take bits from everywhere and put it together.”
WHO: Oliver Westcott

Oliver’s friend was sure he was going to keep bragging about being chosen as a stylish person at Castle Park
ON OLIVER: A lilac t-shirt with distressed black denim shorts, paired with white and black sneakers and some cool shades to beat the heat.
He said: “I don’t really know what my inspiration would be. I love going to charity shops and thrift shops and just finding clothes that I think suit me. I usually shop at Xchange on Broadmead – they’ve always got nice little pieces. And it’s all decent money!”
WHO: Abby Leeds

Abby flaunted her eight-year-old thrifted dress that gives her a boost
ON ABBY: Red dress with a floral print and a cool cap, paired with minimal jewellery, a pair of Ray Ban shades and classic Birkenstocks.
She said: “I found this dress in a vintage shop on Park Street about eight years ago. I’ve just kept it ever since – it’s one of my favourites! When I need a boost, I wear it. I got this hat when I was filming red pandas in the Himalayas and it was a birthday present from the guides.”
