We headed down to Corn Street on a bright afternoon to see what the visitors to the bustling Wednesday Farmers’ Market were wearing.

Name: Jade Guendafa
Age: 22
Occupation: Hairdresser.
What are you wearing?
“Everything is from vintage or second hand shops in France… the blanket’s from my bed!”

Name: Clytus Williams
Age: 55
Occupation: Retired
What are you wearing?
“Shoes, Jones. Jacket is from House of Fraser and trousers are from another gentleman’s shop in London… you don’t want to know where my underwear is from do you?” 

Name: Lily Brett
Age: 19
Occupation: She’s got CVs in her bag and is looking for a job.
What are you wearing?
“I’m trying to look like a lady… The skirt was in the sale at New Look, no idea where I found this top, cardigan is from the charity shop, I made my necklace and the flower garland on my head was a present” 

Name: Tamzin Lily Hunter
Age: 52
Occupation: She runs the Holiday Home for Dogs in Newcastle but was just coming back from an audition with Deal or no Deal so watch this space.
What are you wearing?
“Fluffy coat, trousers and new shoes are all from Primarni (Primark) and my posh waistcoat is secondhand.”

Age: 18
Occupation: Graphic Design student
What are you wearing?
“My coat is from RAINS and everything else is Urban Outfitters.”

Name: Molly Collins and Jordan Sarvar
Age: 20 and 21
Occupations: English Literature student and chef.
What are you wearing?
Molly: “Shoes from Repsycho, skirt from ASOS marketplace and jacket from Topshop.”
Jordan: “Everything is Topman apart from my shoes which are from the Doc Shop.”
