New streetwear collective aims to support emerging Bristol artists
A new clothing label hopes to support Bristol’s independent upcoming artists and the local community.
THE RIGHT UPS helps young artists who are interested in growing in the music industry as well as helping people to collaborate with other creatives.
Speaking to Bristol24/7, THE RIGHT UPS’ owner said: “Helping people to express their ideas through different mediums in a non judgemental space plays a key role in supporting one another within this community”.
is needed now More than ever
The collective organises open deck nights for anyone that wants to learn how to DJ or meet new people, while also hosting art lessons for kids and young people.
Since lockdown, the price of booking artists and renting space has increased, making it more difficult for clubs and organisations to host events and sell tickets, as people are not willing to pay for most events these days.

As a response, THE RIGHT UPS has been hosting events at more “community-focused venues like Art Club”, which prioritises community over profit. Their recent event ‘Bristol Bazaar 2’ took place at Art Club Market in December.
THE RIGHT UPS advertise their work through street art, which has recently been plastered onto the walls of Turbo Island, as well as sticking flyers round the city.
Every member of the THE RIGHT UPS crew is somebody to watch out for, especially with talents from artists such as Scruz, Nanka, 2quid and Delta who are currently making waves in the industry.
