Pop-up skatepark reopens in car park
A bunch of skating enthusiasts are currently zooming around a car park on roller skates and skateboards.
It’s part of Level 7, a temporary skatepark built on the seventh floor of the Cabot Circus car park with free access to everyone.
Now back for the third time, the pop-up skatepark is running throughout half-term until November 3.
is needed now More than ever
Features of the skatepark have been jointly designed by children from May Park Primary School in Eastville and the not-for-profit organisation Campus Skateboarding, while the whole initiative has been supported by Skateboard GB and Subway restaurants.

The event has seen over 3,000 attendees in the past two years from Bristol and beyond
This edition of the skate park also features for the first time a ‘slow zone’ for beginners and young people.
Chief executive of Skateboard GB, James Hope-Gill, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Subway to support the Cabot Circus Level 7 project this year.
“The ‘Slow Zone’ has given local children the opportunity to design their own obstacles and see them come to life, alongside the main skateable features at the event.
“I’m delighted that this is also being supported by a Sport England grant from The Movement Fund awarded to our local partners Campus Skateboarding CIC.
“This support is enabling children and beginner skaters to have a place to skate as part of this event. This is really important to get new people engaged in skateboarding”.
