Unique experiences available to buy from new online marketplace
Baking with Bake Off star Briony May Williams, model making with Aardman senior animator Jim Parkyn, a culinary crawl with Michelin-starred chef Josh Eggleton and exploring some of Bristol’s most colourful spots whilst perfecting the art of smartphone photography with Instagrammer Jess Siggers, aka @porthjess.
These are just some of dozens of experiences now available to buy from a new online marketplace set up so that people can discover things to do on their doorstep, and get to know and support local people and businesses.
Yuup has experiences ranging from £5 to £250, promising “an adventure to be found that suits all budgets, schedules and whims.
is needed now More than ever
“So, whether it’s some much needed ‘me-time’, organising a family get-together, arranging a gathering of workmates, picking the perfect gift, or trying to find a fun first date, Yuup will help users locate and book a special and memorable experience in minutes”.
Yuup is forecast to inject £1.1m into the local economy and create 125 jobs within the next year. The goal is that more than 90 per cent of experiences will be run by local Bristol-based independent businesses, with local people sharing a skill or side hustle.

Yuup is the brainchild of Bristol resident and serial entrepreneur, Dominic Mills, who previously founded Auros, a digital agency specialising in tech build,
Dominic said: “There’s always so much going on in Bristol but before Yuup you couldn’t find it all in one place.
“If the past few months have taught us anything it’s that one of the great joys in life is making memories with those we love, so I’m delighted that Yuup is uncovering hundreds of experiences for anyone living in or visiting Bristol.
“We launch with over 75 experiences, but our aim is to have 500 live in the next twelve months and have an experience within a 10-minute walk of every address in the city.”
