Boutique pet shop opens on Wapping Wharf
A boutique pet shop has joined the eclectic roaster of businesses on Wapping Wharf.
Dogs on the Docks sells a range of pet accessories, toys and treats, many of which are locally sourced or environmentally friendly.
Owner, Marcus Fox, has worked in the pet trade for over five years, and initially started the company as a side business, appearing at markets and pet shows.

“I know the brands that I like, I know the ones that I buy, what I want to see from a pet shop,” he told Bristol24/7.

“That’s why we are independent. You want generic, you go to a big pet shop, a big chain.”
The shop is filled with colour, following Fox’s mantra that “colour just brings happiness”.
Inside the energy is high, with Fox bringing in his own dog, chihuahua Winnie, to work with him behind the counter.
Fox is optimistic for the shop’s future. “For a pet shop to work you have got to be a part of the community,” he said.
“Luckily we have got an amazing community around here. I’m only four days in but people have really, really gotten behind me.”
