Florist first business to open in Paintworks phase 3

By Caragh Jones  Friday Feb 10, 2017

A floral addition has arrived in the newest corner of the Paintworks in the shape of The Rose Shed, adding a bloom of English countryside to Bristol’s creative quarter.

Specialising in weddings, events and bouquets, Rachel Husband launched The Rose Shed in 2012 out of her garden shed in Kingswood.

Over the past five years she has been creating beautiful flowers throughout Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds.

Her passion for flowers started at a young age, when she landed a Saturday job in a local Somerset floristry. She finds herself happiest surrounded by flowers (sweet peas by choice) laid out on her workbench.

Today, Rachel and her Irish terrier Betsy are based in phase 3 of the Paintworks ready to make their mark on Bristol.

The Shed takes the form of a workshop, with a seating area for floristry consultations. The open and airy studio space also gives Rachel the opportunity to run workshops for budding florists.

She has big plans for seasonal workshops open to the public, festival garlands to Christmas wreaths.

Rachel’s online shop is now open for bouquet deliveries in time for Valentine’s Day.
