New running shop features in-store running track
Deriving its name from the Greek word for movement, Kinisi Run Hub has been opened by a family with a passion and pedigree for running.
Owner Jamie Williamson has moved from Manchester to Bristol to open the new shop in Bedminster.
Jamie has previously represented both Great Britain and Scotland, his father Graham finished fourth in the 1982 Commonwealth Games, and his mother Carole – who grew up in Clevedon – is a two-time world road race bronze medallist.
is needed now More than ever

27-year-old Jamie Williamson gave up his running career after an injury
The shop on East Street has pressure plates on a specially designed 10m running track to map pressure points on your feet, before Jamie and his team help you select the perfect shoe.
The track has been sourced from the Glasgow World Athletics Indoor Championships and south Bristol chosen as the location for the shop because of its strong running community.
Jamie told Bristol24/7: “When we get people in, they’ve been really enjoying the whole concept we offer because it is quite unique for the UK.
“In most running shops you get a treadmill and you’re filmed from behind, whereas we’ve got the track and the pressure plates. It’s just a bit of a more immersive experience.
“And it’s very visual as well because we get heat maps on the screen of what their feet are doing, so we can really explain to people what’s going on and hopefully they understand a bit more about why we’d recommend a suitable shoe, and then ultimately leave confident in a shoe that will work for them.”

Customers are encouraged to move barefoot initially and then with shoes on the running track to compare the difference in their foot movements
World 1,500m champion Jake Wightman will be the guest of honour at Kinisi Run Hub at a special event on September 22. For more information, visit www.kinisirunhub.co.uk
