Shop to relocate from east London to south Bristol

By Meadow Wattret  Tuesday Sep 10, 2024

An independent shop is moving lock, stock and barrel from east London to south Bristol.

A New Tribe sells rugs, jewellery, scented candles, fragrances and more from independent designers and artisans from across the globe.

The shop, which opened in Hackney in 2016, is moving to Bristol as this is where owner Ella Jones has moved, with Jones saying that she and her team will be “trying our luck” to see if A New Tribe can thrive in a new city.

On Instagram, Jones wrote: “I moved out of London to Bristol last October, and I was looking for a studio in Bristol to move our stock to when we close in Hackney, so that we could continue to sell online.

“However, through this process I couldn’t help but look to see what was out there for shop spaces too, and it seemed worth trying our luck in Bristol rather than having our beautiful products hidden away from the world.”

A New Tribe is currently being set up at 177-179 North Street and is due to be open by the end of September.
