Wilko is making a return to Bristol

By Milan Perera  Tuesday Oct 15, 2024

What difference does a year make? October 2023 marked the closure of the last remaining Wilko in the UK. But the much-loved retailer is returning to the streets of Bristol, albeit via Deliveroo.

The shop whose demise was widely mourned is slowly making a return to major cities around the country thanks to a new partnership with the delivery platform.

It will see the opening of a new Wilko ‘hub’ in St Philip’s to serve customers around Bristol and beyond.

Wilko is the latest high street brand to sign up for Deliveroo Shopping.

Alex Simpkin, group chief executive at CDS Superstores trading as Wilko and The Range, said: “It’s great to be making Wilko so much more accessible to its loyal customer base.

“There’s a huge love for the brand and while we continue to open new stores this partnership gives us the opportunity to reach people quicker.”
