A home from home at Beech House
You’ve got family or friends visiting Bristol but your flat is too small to put them up. So what do you do? The city has got plenty of hotels and such is demand that new hotels are still being built; but there is also another option.
Serviced apartments can feel like a home from home, with Beech House in Clifton a brilliant example of what can be done to offer somewhere different to a visitor to Bristol than a typical hotel room.
Situated on St Paul’s Road in a Victorian villa which was most recently offices, Beech House also has a contemporary mews house built behind it which offers a remarkable amount of style, privacy and tranquility.
is needed now More than ever
You might only stay in one apartment, but be rest assured: each has been individually-designed with period fireplaces sitting next to bespoke curtains and wallpaper and1950s-inspired sofas, rain showers in the bathrooms to Nespresso machines in the kitchen.

Beech House contains 14 apartments within a Victorian villa in Clifton – and two in a mews house behind

There are 14 apartments in the main house and two in the mews building – with a welcome tray including tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a bowl of fruit greeting you on your arrival.
On a recent visit, my parents stayed in Mews House 2 and immediately felt at home, with two floors offering an ideal location for hide and seek with the grandchildren.
Downstairs there are two bedrooms including one with an en-suite bathroom, while upstairs is the living area featuring those 1950s-style sofas, curtains and wallpaper featuring silvers, greys and golds, and colourful modern art on the walls.

If you feel like leaving Beech House, it’s close enough to both the city centre and Clifton Village to walk, with Whiteladies Road only a few hundred yards away and the Lido just around the corner.
So next time that you need to arrange a place for family and friends to stay while they’re visiting Bristol, don’t immediately think of a hotel room. Serviced apartments like Beech House can offer an added touch of luxury in a home from home.
