Bristol Charity Advent Calendar 2018, day 23: Off The Record
Off The Record (OTR) is a charity aimed at empowering young people aged between 11 and 25 that are struggling with mental health issues.
Based on Old Market Street, the charity runs a variety of projects across the South West, aimed at promoting mental health awareness and helping young people to deal with stress. One of their many ongoing projects is called The Mentality Project.
Each year the group decides on an issue related to mental health and designs a social action campaign for it. They outreach to schools, colleges and other youth settings across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, delivering training and workshops to thousands of young people and professionals each year.

Opened in 1965, OTR was one of the first charities to offer advice, information and counselling to specifically young people.
They believe that it’s important that every young person knows how to look after not only their own well being, but that of their friends and communities too.
