Bristol Charity Advent Calendar, day 23: Off The Record
Off the Record is a mental health social movement by and for young people aged 11 to 25 living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Based on West Street in Old Market, OTR now has more than 150 staff and volunteers on their books.
OTR is not just a charity providing mental health services, “it’s a mental health movement mobilised to support, promote and defend the mental health, rights and social position of young people”
is needed now More than ever
At all times, OTR “strives to give a choice and a voice to young people”.
Here are their values:
- We believe that our offer should be inclusive of all cultures and identities.
- We believe that young people have unique strengths, interests and circumstances.
- We believe that the world around us impacts our wellbeing.
- We believe in placing young people at the heart of our work.
- We believe in innovating and evolving to improve our offer for young people.
- We believe that relationships are what make the difference.
- We believe in the power of partnerships.
The best way to find out more about the work that OTR does is by attending one of their hubs: a safe and relaxed space you can simply drop into for a chat with no appointments needed.
Come to meet the team and discover more about what they offer, while learning about mental health and self-care too.
Sessions run every week throughout the year at OTR’s headquarters on West Street and at Armadillo in Yate.
