Bristol24/7 Presents: Burnout and wellbeing in the workplace
Burnout and mental health in the workplace will be the focus for the first in the Bristol24/7 Presents 2021 series.
From juggling work with childcare to facing furlough, Zoom fatigue, isolation or job losses, the last year has taken its toll on workforces across the city and beyond.
Shifts in work patterns are likely to remain for the foreseeable future – possibly forever – yet many employers are still scrabbling to catch up with what this might mean for staff wellbeing, not to mention the ongoing impact of a global pandemic.
is needed now More than ever
In this free virtual event taking place from 2pm on Thursday, May 13, Safiya Bashir – a member of the Bristol24/7 editorial team – will host a panel discussion to examine some of the challenges facing employers and staff and best practices for promoting wellbeing, a healthy work-life balance and support for mental health.

Featuring leading experts in mental health, as well as academics and employers in the city who are already pioneering mental health initiatives, the event aims to promote positive action and help businesses lead the way in fostering a healthy, productive workforce and avoiding workplace burnout.
The full lineup of panellists is due to be announced soon. The event will also feature additional commentary from people across different sectors in Bristol, including Bristol24/7 Better Business members.
