People of all cultures and communities descended on St Mark’s Road in Easton on Thursday evening for a Grand Iftar.
Bristol’s largest Grand Iftar has grown into a hugely popular annual event, as Muslims and non-Muslims break their fast during Ramadan.
“Its about breaking bread in the streets with community and celebrating, that’s what it’s all about really,” summed up St Paul’s Carnival boss Julz Davies.

This year, Ramadan takes place from May 5 to June 4, with those taking part fasting from dawn to dusk.

1st Bristol Muslim Scout Group gave a warm welcomes to many of the guests

The street got busier as the sun began to fade

People from all backgrounds came together to break the fast and enjoy good food
