In photos: Bristol’s NHS heroes

By Martin Booth  Monday Aug 24, 2020

The ongoing response of Bristol hospitals to the coronavirus pandemic has been captured by photographer James Koch in this series of stunning photos.

James was commissioned by North Bristol NHS Trust to take the photos at Southmead Hospital, Cossham Hospital, the Centre for Enablement and Nightingale Hospital.

He visited them between June 16 and 24, to catch some of Bristol’s NHS heroes at work to create a lasting reminder of this moment in history.

“Up to the point of my time here they had expected 1,400 admissions but, thankfully, only had around 100. The last remaining Covid patient at the time of my visit was being discharged on my first day.”
