WATCH: Bristol24/7 Autumn Feast

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Dec 5, 2017

Six weeks on from the taster session for aspiring young chefs, we’re pleased to be able to share the story of our young chefs programme so far in this short documentary.

As part of our social impact agenda, we’ve been working with Square Food Foundation and a host of Bristol’s most respected professional chefs on a project aimed at inspiring and creating opportunities for young people.

Following the Bristol24/7 Autumn Feast, many of the young chefs have gone on to take up placements in professional kitchens and worked alongside the professional chefs who mentored them through this programme.

Our video production partners Tusko Films have been following the story from the early workshops through to our Autumn Feast, and we’re proud to showcase their work:

A huge thank you and congratulations to our young chefs: Finn Young, Joshua Long, Immy Birkett, Larrisa Silva, Hannah Rooke, Jane Cowie, Jack Wilton, Daniel Tarling and Evie-Aline Fellowes and to Square Food Foundation for partnering with us on this project.

Thank you to the professional chefs involved with the project: Barny Haughton, Sam Sohn-Rethel, Josh Eggleton, Mark Chapman, Imogen Waite, Seb Brochot, Mike Oldreive, Jo Ingleby, Charlotte Fife, Adrian Kirikmaa and Elliott Lidstone.

Thank you to Carol Peace for allowing us to host the event among her incredible exhibition and making her work available though our Artist of the Month shop to raise money for Bristol24/7’s social impact agenda.

And many thanks to our key social impact partners UWE Bristol and our project sponsors: Jongor Hire, Infiniti Bristol, Umberslade, Budvar, Zazu’s Kitchen Pubs and Butcombe.
