THEATRE JAM: Bristol Improv Theatre’s performance and social night: meet fellow performers and get up on stage for improvised theatre games and scenes. Bristol Improv Theatre, 8pm.

NASEEBO LAL: The prolific Pakistani folk singer is best known for her work in Punjabi films and stage dramas. Here she performs with a full band made up of leading musicians from the UK and Pakistan. The Lantern, 8pm.

SURESKANK TENTH ANNIVERSARY: Bristol grime and dubstep institution celebrates ten years with Sir Spyro, Bandulu Gang, Hi5 Ghost, Boofy, Gemmy, Superisk, Beavis and Tokin’ Mandem. Trinity, 10pm.

LITTLE MEN: Ira Sachs’ follow-up to his much-praised ‘Love Is Strange’. Watershed, 3pm, 6.10pm, 8.30pm
 

CERAMICS BY KATE WEYMAN: Solo show for ceramicist inspired by Bristol’s vibrant art scene and rich multicultural heritage – and her love of illustration. Potters Gallery, 10.15am-5.30pm.

GRIN MANIA: In Bristol Old Vic’s Backstage Bar (pictured at the top of this page), there will be exclusive live performances of songs from The Grinning Man. 20 per cent off all drinks purchased between 6-7pm. 

FREEDOM OF MIND: A series of events aiming to make Bristol a happier, healthier city begins with a launch party at the O2 Academy.
