The two-day festival, which takes place over Saturday 11 September and Sunday 12 September at Lloyds Amphitheatre on Bristol harbourside, will be home to street food traders, BBQ teams and restaurants from all over the country who will all be competing for the title of ‘UK’s best chicken wings’.
is needed now More than ever
So just how hot are the Lava Wings? In 2016 after discovering the challenge was a little bit more dangerous than they originally imagined, they had to tone the sauce down (a bit) for legal reasons. However, don’t worry, you’re in safe hands in 2021.

Clifton Chilli Club brews and strengthens the infamous Lava Sauce over a 12-month period and uses 15 years of chilli growing experience to deliver this world beating, and apparently quite tasty, liquid of fire.
To get involved, you’ll have to purchase a festival ticket and then sign up on the day at the festival to enter the challenge. Tickets include a Wing Fest trucker hat, entertainment, live music, BBQ demonstrations, axe throwing and more.
Tickets are available now on the Wing Fest website.
Early bird tickets are priced at £17.50 and are valid for entry from 12 – 1 (stay all day). Standard tickets are priced at £20 and are valid for entry from 1pm. Children under 12 go free.
