224 Youth Zone is paving the way for exciting opportunities in South Bristol
A multi-million pound youth centre has announced exciting partnership opportunities before it opens its doors to South Bristol in 2025.
224 Youth Zone will be spearheaded by South Bristol-based charity Youth Moves, dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for young people. It will be open to young people between the ages of 8 and 19. It will also be open to those with additional needs up to the age of 25.
The Cause and Off The Record (OTR) have been announced as inaugural partners of Bristol’s new youth zone, and will host a series of workshops as part of this collaboration.
is needed now More than ever
The workshops will help young people explore their creativity within music production, vocal recording, live performances, media, video, photography and content creation. They hope to provide powerful insights into the creative industries.
Founder of The Cause, Jason Ward, said: “224 will be an absolute game-changer for Bristol, providing a much-needed space for young people city-wide to inspire and be inspired.
“We had the opportunity to visit the Wigan Youth Zone, so have seen first-hand what an incredible facility 224 will be for the young people of Bristol.”
Calling partnership the key to their working model, interim chief executive of Youth Moves Guy Cowper said: “We are incredibly keen to talk to other youth organisations in the city, not just about how they can use the space at 224 to deliver their own specialist programmes, but also how they can help deliver services in the new Youth Zone.”

Cowper emphasised that it was about making youth provision in Bristol “the best” and using 224 as “a hub and catalyst for partnership working.”
224, the site for the youth centre, is cordially inviting other charitable youth organisations in the city and beyond to become a part of what they’ve described as a “groundbreaking facility.”
At its heart, 224 will enable young people to engage in a variety of activities ranging from football, boxing, climbing, creative arts, music and drama, and will also provide employability training.
The centre will be staffed by skilled youth workers, who will be onsite to offer mentorship, guidance and support as and when required by the youth community.
