Investigation into the attack continues, as police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The five were taken into custody after reports were made of a man in his 30s, being stabbed near Rawnsley Park.

The police made their way to the scene of crime within seven minutes, only to find that the injured man had already made his way to the hospital

The victim still remains in the hospital, but his injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

Speaking about the incident, neighbourhood chief inspector 0f Avon and Somerset Police, Keith Smith, said: “Thankfully there has been no loss of life in this case, but this is obviously a concerning incident. I’d like to reassure people that officers attended promptly and swiftly made arrests, thanks to information from the community.

“Our enquiries to gather the evidence we’ll need to bring charges continue. While there’s no suggestion of a risk to the wider public, we’ll continue to have uniformed officers carrying out reassurance patrols in the area.”
