Behind the scenes of Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary special

A Twitter user has offered a tantalising glimpse of the locations used in Bristol for filming of Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary special.

“Inspired by @steppingthroughfilm are some shots from the recent trailers in their full Bristolian context,” wrote @bristolmosaic.

Filming took place in the Old City in June 2022 with David Tennant alongside Catherine Tate and Neil Patrick Harris, as well as the Tardis, all spotted.

Doctor Who returns in November with three special episodes with David Tennant as the fourteenth doctor to coincide with the 60th anniversary.

Ncuti Gatwa’s first episode as the fifteenth doctor will air during the festive period.
