Powered by 100 per cent renewable energy, a new big screen on Millennium Square will provide higher definition and better sound quality when it is turned on at the end of July.
A vastly improved and more accessible viewing experience is promised with the new screen, including for audiences with visual and hearing impairments.
Run by We The Curious since 2016, events shown on the big screen are due to restart in the autumn which will coincide with the science centre’s new Project What If exhibition, based entirely on questions asked by the people of Bristol.

Natalie Moore from Bristol UNESCO City of Film added: “It’s fantastic news for Bristol that the public will be able to enjoy an even better visual and audio experience on a new and improved screen.
