Fire breaks out in St Werburgh’s

A fire broke out at around 2:20pm in Bristol.

The fire is believed to have started at Unimetals in St Werburgh’s. Smoke from fire the could be seen from distances as far as Brandon Hill.

Avon Fire and Rescue have said: “On arrival, crews were met with a well developed fire in an area containing approximately seven tonnes of scrap metal, including scrap household appliances.

“The fire was extinguished by approximately 6:30pm on Saturday. The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
