Bristol Charity Advent Calendar 2022, Day 24: Black South West Network
Black South West Network (BSWN) is a Black-led racial justice organisation based in St Paul’s.
The non-profit organisation supports the development of dynamic, independent, and strong Black and Minoritised communities, businesses, and organisations to flourish – whilst challenging systemic barriers.
Its team, which has a collective community-led approach, drives racial equity in the UK society’s dimensions of research, policy, innovation, socio-economics and health.

BSWN’s work doesn’t just have a positive impact in the South West of England, but nationally and internationally too.

BSWN has launched a dedicated page to support people, especially people from Black and Minoritised communities, who have been hit hard by the cost of living crisis.
Its page signposts to support and resources for communities, businesses, and voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.
Between 2021 and 2022 BSWN supported over 200 businesses, social enterprises and organisations – and provided over 800 hours of support through its programmes.
