Bristol MPs’ financial interest declarations 2024

MPs are require to register financial interests which could be reasonably understood as influencing their words or actions.

The register has existed since 1974 and is updated every two weeks when Parliament is sitting.

CARLA DENYER (Bristol Central)

Employment and Earnings

  • Final payment of £401.10 for serving as co-leader of Green Party of England and Wales from October 1 2021
  • Support linked to MP but received by a local party organisation on indirectly via a central party organisation – several amounts totalling £196,265.27

Gifts, benefits and hospitality from UK sources

  • Tickets to Wilderness Festival 2023 for herself and a guest + £240 speakers’ fee (donated to Green Party), in exchange for speaking at two panels – total value of £796
  • Costs associated with travel, accommodation and food for appearances in BBC and ITV debate programs during election campaign and other events during 2023 – total value of £2,952.68

  • Support linked to MP but received by a local party organisation on indirectly via a central party organisation – one donation worth £5,000

Visits outside the UK

  • Travel to Israel in March 2024, purpose being “fact finding; meeting with Israeli and Palestinian politicians, academics, activists and diplomats” – estimate of value (inc. flights, accommodation and meals) £2,400
