Bristol has been named the “greenest” city in England in a new survey.
Our city has been ranked as the most eco-friendly destination in England followed by Liverpool, Oxford, Southampton and Cambridge
Research by Millets analysed the eco-friendliness of places across England by measuring them against factors like the number of green spaces, walking trails and annual carbon emissions.

Bristol comes out top of Millets’ survey
Bristol scored highly thanks to its array of green spaces, walking trails, and lush parks and gardens.
In what has been called a guide of the “nation’s most sustainable locations” to explore, Bristol was praised for its many local nature reserves including Lamplighter’s Marsh near Shirehampton and Manor Woods Valley in Bishopsworth.
