By Karen Johnson  and  Stella Rogers  Thursday Dec 5, 2024

The holiday spirit has made its way to a corner of Castle Park.

Bristol Christmas Village is now open with activities including a VR sleigh, and real-life dodgems, roller skating and curling.

Evenings will see a special light projection show onto the exterior of the ruined St Peter’s Church.

The cosiest spot is the bar at the Christmas Village

Bristol Christmas Village was officially opened on Thursday by lord mayor Andrew Varney.

On the far end of the site is the waltzer, awaiting those who fancy an adrenaline boost for Christmas cheer.

Or you can relax in the bar, and treat yourself to food like Yorkshire pudding wraps or cookie dough, washed down by hot chocolate or mulled cider.
