Bristol nurse needs life-saving cancer treatment in Germany
A nurse from Bristol needs life-saving treatment in Germany.
The family of Mildred Olika have started a crowdfunder to raise the money needed for the treatment after she was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer with brain metastases.
The crowdfunder has currently just raised just over £10,500 from more than 500 people, but £70,000 is needed in total.
is needed now More than ever

Mildred, 54, from Kingswood, moved with her family to Bristol from Switzerland in 2005 and has spent all her time since looking after people, from working at Southmead Hospital to trying to set up her own clinic.
Her three daughters – Stacey, Lydia and Emily – are organising the crowdfunder to pay for cell therapy treatment, with chemotherapy likely to do very little for Mildred’s prognosis.
They say: “Our mum has dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse. Now she finds herself in need of care and treatment. It’s our turn to rally around her in her time of need.”
