Bristol Old Vic scraps booking fees
Good news theatre fans – coinciding with its autumn ticket sale, Bristol Old Vic has announced that its booking fees are to be scrapped.
Assuaging fears that the removal of the £1.50 fee would increase ticket prices, the theatre’s chief executive, Emma Stenning, has assured theatre-goers that there will be no noticeable difference, explaining the removal of the payment will increase transparency in the buying process, not the cost of the tickets themselves.
Ticket prices for the Old Vic’s Autumn season start from £7.50, and now the price you see when you purchase the ticket will be the final amount that you pay.
is needed now More than ever
Picks of the autumn season include a flagship production of Harold Pinter’s The Caretaker, starring The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Patrice Naiambana.
For children aged eight and above, Emma Rice’s Christmas hit The Little Match Girl, fresh from a rapturous response at London’s The Globe Theatre, promises music and magic.
Not to be forgotten, younger children can enjoy the theatre’s chaotic Christmas production of Snow Globe, suitable for three-to-seven year-olds.
The Old Vic’s autumn season runs from September 2017-January 2018.
