We are also a community interest company and were named one of the top 100 social enterprises in the country this year as part of the NatWest SE100. Our content is read by hundreds of thousands of people – an audience that’s growing all the time. Advertising and membership support our independent journalism and fund community projects that change lives.
is needed now More than ever
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and full of ideas, have great writing skills and an eye for a story. Managing social media, taking photos and creating video content will all play a key part of the role and the reporter will need to be able to juggle a busy workload, have a meticulous eye for detail and meet tight deadlines.
This role offers plenty of scope for a keen early-career reporter to make their mark working across the entire city to be first on the scene of a breaking news story or uncovering an off-diary exclusive. The reporter will also play a part in putting together Bristol24/7’s bi-monthly magazine and managing our award-winning work experience scheme.
The chosen candidate will work alongside Bristol24/7’s small editorial team to grow the Bristol24/7 news coverage. On the job training will be given and there will be ample opportunity to shape the role, build a portfolio of work and hone multimedia journalism skills.
